on reading

February 8, 2010

I am a bookworm. My dad introduced me to this passion and I was hooked. Unfortunately, this led to my poor eyesight because I became addicted to the written word. I read and read for hours on end and even when there is bad lighting. I eventually had lasik surgery.

My dad and stepmom are now complaining about their eyesight and the Stahl Eye Center for NearVision CK offers many options for them. The procedures are quick and the doctors who will be doing them all come from top universities. NearVision CK may reduce the need for my parents to use reading glasses.

I now have “Alice in Wonderland and Throught the Looking Glass” to read aloud for Heaven. I hope to instill in her the same passion for reading as my dad did for me.

Prepping up

February 5, 2010

Our dance presentation is going to be tomorrow night! I am so excited. Unfortunately i’m totally bummed with my costume. It is all in Benetton colors. So I need to have a solid color pants, round-neck t-shirt and another solid color short sleeved polo. That is a problem. But the one thing I won’t have to worry about is my hair because there’s this place, the colony salon, that does amazing hair styles. The make-up will also be a cinch as well because I learned a lot from my aunt and cousin in KK.

Tonight, we will be having our last practice. I want to bring Heaven but then my parents are against the idea because our practice is at 7pm. Sigh. I don’t want to leave her. I really love being with her. If only I can do all the things I want to do with her somehow just being there with me, not crying or does not want to be carried by me.

Yeah, I wish. Hehehe…time to go and prep up.

the other dog

February 4, 2010

Our family had many dogs but the one pet that was with us the longest is Misty. She has been with us for 9 years already. She have many puppies that we gave away and for her menopausal puppy, we have Taz.

Unlike Misty who is obedient and well-trained by my Dad, Taz is a bit of a rebel. She hates being tied, she runs around in circles and she is a menace to our front yard. You would think that she would have outgrown the dog chewing, the incessant digging and the pooping anywhere but she hasn’t. So I told my Dad that we really should have her enroll in a dog obedience class. She can pick up some tips and actually become a better house pet and guard dog.

Taz would make a good racing dog too. She runs so fast. She hass too much energy and somehow we hope that there is a way to channel that excess energy. So this website I found, Racing Dog Lovers, both provides tips and more on dog obedience and how to care for overly enthusiastic dogs like our Taz.

The Gift

February 3, 2010

Come November 17, my Dad is turning 60. The thought of what gift to give a very special person haunts me. What comes to my mind is something that is not the ordinary gift that he receives on this day. I have always wanted to give him something that he will cherish. My dad is so choosy or picky as you may say but surprisingly, he is an impulsive buyer. If he fancies something, and if he has the money, he will definitely buy it. I hope he does not find what he is looking for. It will surely spoil my big surprise for him.

He loves titanium watches. He is partial to a rectangular face with a titanium strap. He also wants one that can have an 18 karat gold field. Whenever we go out for shopping, he never misses to glance at watches, regardless of the brand. Nevertheless, I know, what he wants and what he loves the most. On his 60th birthday, I plan to give him a titanium watch. For all the times that he has been there for me, throughout my pregnancy and even when I am in my lowest point, the watch from bluedial.com will be my thank you gift as well.

Now, I just need to save up for it. :)

casinos to the rescue

I need to earn some extra cash.  I have no time for a second job with a baby to look after at home.  I just might need to relax and play or gamble in casinos online. Thus, I went to surf the web and found this site on it.

You can access your brand of game right there on the spot at www.casinoscandinavia.com. This site offers you the game of your choice and with corresponding bonuses. It allows you to play with real money or with mere tokens and the opportunity to practice your game which is great! I have never been to a casino before but I sure would love to try it.

This could be just what will help me out of my financial rut. Wish me luck!

just a thought

I was wondering on how to earn more money and here I am, stuck in a rut. My boss said my writing is sucky now. Sigh. He will just give me a per article rate instead of my monthly pay. I guess this is for the better so I’m now on the lookout for more writing gigs and other ways to have money online. So I wondered if online casinos for real money     could be a lucrative venture? Although I am no gambler nor do I have Lady Luck in my friends’ list, still, it’s worth a try, right?

All for money, baby, all for the money.

Stuck on Magnetic Jewelry

February 2, 2010

Remember that I wrote about magnetic bracelets and how I want to get one for my cousin Io? Well, I was thinking that I will get her one of those Stainless Steel Magnetic Necklaces instead. These are fashionable accessories and stylish pieces that will surely turn heads anywhere she goes.

They are necklaces made with very strong magnets. They are affordable like their magnetic earrings and other magnetic jewelry counterparts. The free shipping worldwide is still on so these items are very promising indeed. They also have some sort of therapeutic effect on the human body when worn. I remember now that my grandmother wore one of those. She lived long so I guess it is definitely worth a try.

To de-clutter

When I got pregnant , I turned into someone I barely know. I eat vegetables and started to put on make-up. I even became neat. Now that I’m no longer pregnant, I have lost some of those like the vegetable eating, (I only force myself to eat them for Heaven’s sake) and the make-up thing (I am too lazy to even powder my nose). However, the neat freak in me is still quite alive.

So I am now at the point wherein I actually want to de-clutter the house. Yes, time to fix things up, tidy them and remove those things that are no longer useful, beautiful or not broken.I actually need something like the MonsterRax to segregate them from one another as well as store them.

My main problem is actually the time to do all this. Sigh. If only I can clone myself so I can do all the things needed here at home. If only. The de-cluttering for now is confined only to my stuff. And I can’t even finish doing that. Ugh. So much for the neat-o persona.

Return to Dancing

January 30, 2010

Yesterday, I went out for a dance practice. This was for the upcoming Lourdes Days on February 6-11, 2010. Since it’s my alma mater, I would be performing with my relatives who graduated from there as well.

So I have my talkative aunts and cousins all danicng with me. It was a fun time. I was sweating a lot and having the time of my life. Gad, I do miss dancing.

One of my aunts, Tita Penny, arrived from abroad. She brought all these shoes and stuff for all of us. She also told us that my cousin Asha, gave birth to a baby boy. She said that my cousin took Columbus Health Insurance for her baby also. My aunt wondered if I already have one for Heaven. I told her no, since I am still thinking about what insurance I will get from my sister.

We continued our practice until 10pm. Baby Heaven was sleepy the entire time but she was constantly disturbed by her cousins. Still, I think she loved it.

Our performance will be on February 7. I am so excited already. It’s my first performance here since I arrived. I do hope we will do great.
